Over 17 years ago, Ross Plants & Flowers took on new ownership by Mike Groff and Monica Yurconic-Groff. Both with their individual strengths, coming together to recreate and grow the Ross name truly was their passion. Mike with his landscaping background and plant knowledge, and Monica with her love of learning as a teacher and reading specialist, the new Ross emerged.

From the original Ross family selling flowers off the front porch of the house on the property to Rita Frey and her husband growing the business with the addition of a greenhouse in 1991, Mike and Monica have expanded and taken the business to another level. Now with two locations serving the Lehigh Valley, Ross in Orefield houses fresh flowers, plants and garden items, and Ross in Allentown specializes in fresh flowers and inspirational gift items. Naturaslcapes, the brother company, serves the Lehigh Valley by beautifying hundreds of properties from mowing to landscaping to tree work and fertilizing.

Together Mike and Monica have found their niche and work each day to share their love of plants and flowers with the community in every way they can! 

At the Orefield location, you can find a multitude of beautifully handcrafted HUGS for Pediatric Cancer Warriors greeting cards for all occasions.

HUGS for Pediatric Cancer Warriors was founded by Janie Holben and Susan Christine, two Hospice volunteers at Lehigh Valley Health Network.

100% of proceeds are used to provide extra comfort measures for local children and families specifically in Pediatric Hospice, Inpatient Hospice Unit, and the Children’s Hospital at LVHN.

For the last seven years, thousands of floral industry members in all 50 states have organized their teams on one day in October to take part in Petal It Forward, SAF’s goodwill initiative where participants hand two flowers or bouquets to an unsuspecting stranger, urging them to keep one and share the other with someone else. It’s a powerful way to illustrate the positive health benefits of giving and receiving flowers.
