Fresh flowers are selectively ordered and received daily from various parts of the globe; all delivered right to our beautiful florist shops. Upon receipt, they are processed immediately to ensure superior quality and freshness.
Our greenhouse is thriving with plants of every kind, size, shape and texture. It is stocked seasonally with gorgeous annuals and perennials which affords us tremendous versatility in all our design work.
Our gift shops provides us the ability to personalize our designs with whimsical touches from adorable seasonal picks, to wildlife animals, and even garden fairies.
Our flower delivery area includes the greater Lehigh Valley from Alburtis to Easton and from Germansville to Center Valley. Deliveries are made on time by our own friendly and courteous drivers.
Our History
Ross Plants & Flowers is a locally owned, community based, full-service florist and gift shops, retail greenhouse, and a complete landscape design, installation and property management company.
Since 1938, Ross Plants & Flowers has been a trusted friend to the local community and an annual tradition for many. Margaret Ross worked from her front porch on Route 309 from the third Monday in April until the end of June selling vegetables, bedding plants, herbs and perennials with her little girl, Rita, in tow. The properties surrounding the house were owned by various relatives and were gradually acquired by the Ross family.
Rita continued as owner/operator after her mother passed in 1988 with a vision to remain open year round by adding a floral shop and retail greenhouse. It was in this capacity that an initial business relationship grew into a lifelong friendship. Mike Groff, while working in his father’s business, Gardenique, frequented Rita’s greenhouse in search of plant material for landscaping projects.
The timing could not have been more perfect. When Rita was ready to retire, so was Mike’s father. In May of 2006, Mike, and his wife, Monica, simultaneously purchased Ross Plants & Flowers and Gardenique fulfilling Mike’s dream to be able to grow and stock his own plant material. The landscape business was renamed Naturalscapes and the Ross name kept in honor of Rita’s mother, Margaret Ross.
In the years since, Ross Plants & Flowers and Naturalscapes have grown into three complementary and successful divisions. In 2018, however, a leap of faith was made to purchase another flower shop, Paisley Peacock, which was going out of business. This second location provided the opportunity to showcase and share flowers and unique gifts to more customers in the Lehigh Valley. Located on Tilghman Street in Allentown, Ross Craft Flowers+Gifts has been an exciting addition to our flower world and to the world of unique gifts.
